First of all, we would like to say thanks for all the excellent paper and panel proposals that we have received from many of you. This year again, we will have the chance to listen to a wide variety of panel discussions which do not only stand out for their state-of-the-art research, but also for demonstrating a high level of multidisciplinarity and geographic diversity.

We are also proud to unveil our new website: https://eiss-europa.com!
It will provide you with all the latest news and important information about the EISS as well as our past conferences.

Finally, we would like to warmly thank everyone for their support. Over the last year we have received many comments and suggestions which help us continually improve and refine this project.

About the EISS

The third annual conference of the European Initiative on Security Studies will be held at Sciences Po, in Paris, on 27-28 June 2019. It is organized by the EISS board, within the framework of the French Association for the Study of War and Strategy (AEGES) and in collaboration with the Center for International Studies (CERI) of Sciences Po.

The European Initiative on Security Studies is a multidisciplinary Europe-wide network of scholars from over eighty universities that share the goal of consolidating security studies in Europe. Specifically, the aims of the EISS are two-fold. The first is to develop and sustain a Europe-wide network in the field of security studies. This gives visibility to the range of individual and collective research projects that are currently underway in Europe. The second goal is to establish a forum for the exchange of ideas in order to foster new joint research projects and develop international research partnerships.

We look forward to see you in Paris!

Warm regards,
The EISS Team.
